Mom. Wife. Librarian. Liberal. Yarn Junkie. Tired.
You may have noticed the lack of, um, content. Or design (ok, that I’m working on). Or links. Or anything else.
Yeah, I broke my website. Damnit.
I was trying to reorganize and redesign and upgrade. I SWEAR I had a backup saved. Apparently, not so much. Because when I tried to reload my files, I got empty folders.
Design is gone. Links are gone. Custom javascripts are gone.
And a fair number of posts are gone, too. Poof.
WHY I didn’t export my archives before I did this, I have no idea. I’m an idiot, is all. I have my old Typepad archives, up through last August, saved, and I have some of my posts from the last nine months floating around in various texts files, but not in any sort of cohesive way, and certainly not comprehensively. I am more upset about this than anything else. For a while I was compulsive about backing up my archives, but in the last few months I sort of … forgot.
Oops.
So anyway. Soon there will be a lovely, brand new, colorful site up here. A blank slate, a new start. I’m trying to put a positive spin on it.
Argh.
Mimi is my oldest daughter; Boo is the youngest. Mimi was adopted; Boo was a surprise. I also have a husband, a teenage stepson, a dog, a cat, a full-time job, a part-time craft obsession, and never enough money. I spend far too much time on the internets and can often be found on Facebook, Ravelry, or the Tarflies forums. My craft (mainly crochet) blog is at Yarn Over and my etsy store is Mimi & Boo..
