Mom. Wife. Librarian. Liberal. Yarn Junkie. Tired.
Mimi helped me put it all in perspective tonight. And I have to say I feel a lot better.
“Mommy, who was that man?”
“He came over to buy the computer, sweetie.”
“Why he buy the computer?”
“Because he needed one, and we had an extra one. We don’t need two, right?”
“No, just that one.”
Pause.
“But why we don’t need it?”
“Because we don’t need two, and this way we have some extra money instead.”
“Oh! We need money so you can go to the store and buy me animal crackers!”
“Um, sure. But also so we can use it for our new house.”
“Yes. For our new house, and animal crackers. Right?”
“Right. You know what? You’re very smart.”
“Yes. I’m very smart.”
Yup, kiddo, you are.
Mimi is my oldest daughter; Boo is the youngest. Mimi was adopted; Boo was a surprise. I also have a husband, a teenage stepson, a dog, a cat, a full-time job, a part-time craft obsession, and never enough money. I spend far too much time on the internets and can often be found on Facebook, Ravelry, or the Tarflies forums. My craft (mainly crochet) blog is at Yarn Over and my etsy store is Mimi & Boo..
