Mom. Wife. Librarian. Liberal. Yarn Junkie. Tired.
I think I am actually happy with this LiveWriter thing, at least for the moment. I have Office 2007 on my fancy-schmancy new work laptop, which is the only reason I could give it a try. And I like my layout and theme, also for the moment. You may have noticed I am somewhat schizoid when it comes to blog design; this is, I believe, the fifth – or possibly sixth – them I’ve had since I started blogging here a year ago. Whatever.
Kev seems happy. He’ll be back for a few days this weekend. He’s growing his hair out, and it looks really cute. That’s all I’m going to say about that for the time being.
The highlight of the weekend was Mimi’s acquisition of “pink princess shoes that light up” for
back-to-school, courtesy of my mom. When asked what she needed to get ready for school, she immediately hit on “pink princess shoes that light up” and could not be swayed from the absolute vital apparently life-giving forces of these shoes. So she (Mimi, not my mom) is over the moon about them, and I must say that although are a little bit obnoxious, it could definitely be worse. She wore them around all weekend, accessorized yesterday with a Snow White costume and variety of cheap bead necklaces. Unfortunately she was never still long enough for me to get a decent picture.
The reminder of the weekend was spent working in the basement, which we are still trying to make into a habitable playroom, and crocheting pumpkin hats. I’ve had a couple of orders (yay!) and also might be able to do a craft show in early October, so I’m trying to build up some stock.
But let me tell you, I’m getting awfully tired of orange.
Mimi is my oldest daughter; Boo is the youngest. Mimi was adopted; Boo was a surprise. I also have a husband, a teenage stepson, a dog, a cat, a full-time job, a part-time craft obsession, and never enough money. I spend far too much time on the internets and can often be found on Facebook, Ravelry, or the Tarflies forums. My craft (mainly crochet) blog is at Yarn Over and my etsy store is Mimi & Boo..
