Mom. Wife. Librarian. Liberal. Yarn Junkie. Tired.
I am so burned out on this election, but it does still offer some teachable moments. I had MSNBC on this morning while I was getting ready for work (apparently because I was in a masochistic mood) and Mimi wandered through in search of breakfast.
“Hey, it’s that one guy that we like!”
“Which one?”
“You know, the [...]
Shit, it’s November? When did that happen? A post a day? Can I do it? We’ll see!
Halloween was good. It was super-warm, still in the 60s by 6 pm. The girls had fun, trick-or-treating in our still relatively new neighborhood was a blast, we went through nearly all of two huge bags of candy, and [...]
Let’s all just try to appreciate the cuteness and not think about how much the orthodontist is going to LOOOOOVE me in a few years.

Played 7 or 8 games of Scramble on Facebook while ignoring the above.
Gave approximately 17 lectures of the “it doesn’t matter who’s first” variety, 0% of [...]
Yesterday’s Halloween festivites at the bookstore were not the most successful (or well organized), people got cranky, and I didn’t get a lot of pictures. More to come!
Am off to tackle the basement — need to find coats and sweaters for everyone — since Nat (17-year-old very brave cousin) is here to babysit/child-wrangle.

Mimi is my oldest daughter; Boo is the youngest. Mimi was adopted; Boo was a surprise. I also have a husband, a teenage stepson, a dog, a cat, a full-time job, a part-time craft obsession, and never enough money. I spend far too much time on the internets and can often be found on Facebook, Ravelry, or the Tarflies forums. My craft (mainly crochet) blog is at Yarn Over and my etsy store is Mimi & Boo..
