Mom. Wife. Librarian. Liberal. Yarn Junkie. Tired.
You know, it’s been a rough summer. The move, the financial difficulties, Mark changing jobs AGAIN, Kev moving across the state, Mimi’s emotional issues. Lots going on, a lot of it not so good. At times I’ve regretted the move just because it made things that much more financially challenging, and the kids have struggled [...]
I was finishing up some orders the other night and mentioned to my husband that I’m going to start marketing my etsy store as “hats for children with freakishly large heads.” But actually, it ought to be “hats for children whose mothers THINK they have freakishly large heads, but really they are perfectly normal.”
It’s the [...]
I originally wrote this five or six weeks after Boo was born, when it was still fairly clear in my head. I can only find the first half of the story, though! I’ll keep looking through my files for the second half, which is the part where, you know, I actually have a baby.

“Birfday!”
And how old are you?”
Waves arms over her head. “BIIIIIG!”
Hee.
I’ve tracked down my original post of Boo’s birth story. I’ll try to repost that some time today, if I get a chance. I cannot believe it’s been two years. Seriously. Crazy.
I have a decent amount to write about today and no energy with which to write. So, it’s cop-out bullet-point post time!
I have a nasty cold. That’s the main reason I am not coherent enough to write a structured narrative post. I think Mimi was patient zero, in this case; she was barely sniffly, but [...]
Mimi is my oldest daughter; Boo is the youngest. Mimi was adopted; Boo was a surprise. I also have a husband, a teenage stepson, a dog, a cat, a full-time job, a part-time craft obsession, and never enough money. I spend far too much time on the internets and can often be found on Facebook, Ravelry, or the Tarflies forums. My craft (mainly crochet) blog is at Yarn Over and my etsy store is Mimi & Boo..
